Hi there,
As promised here are the instructions for making a springy card - with no cutting!
It's nice and easy, but if you find the instructions as clear as mud drop me a line or leave a comment and I'll try to help some more.....
1. Take a pre-scored square card and fold it along the score line.
2. Hold the card so that you have the score in the middle and two squares side by side.
3. On the left side - fold this in half, then unfold.
4. On the right side - mark half way on all sides of the square.
5. Score from the top of the score line on the left hand side to the bottom mark on the right hand side (this will cross the mark at the center of the card).
6. Repeat in the opposite direction. Top marked point on the right hand side to the bottom of the score line on the left hand side, crossing the center point.
7. On the right hand side draw two lines - one will be from the top center point to the center point on the right edge, the other will be from the bottom center point to the center point on the right edge.
8. Fold over all of your drawn lines. (They should all be folded the opposite way of your original center fold.
9. Glue, tape or set your base so that it will stand on it's own and fold back the top two little triangles (glue these down too).
10. Decorate the front panel - finished!
Tomorrow I am doing a Do Crafts demo in Dobbies, Ayr. If you are passing make sure you stop by to say hello.
This will be the last demo of this loop - next month Christmas is coming!!!
Happy crafting!
